As the owner of ABC Bailbonds in Cleveland Ohio, Jeffrey Walling has over 30 years of experience in the bail bonds industry. And from that experience, he, unfortunately, sees tragedy on a weekly basis. But when he heard the story of Samantha Josephson, who was lured into what she thought was her rideshare vehicle, abducted, assaulted, and murdered, he was so devastated that he couldn't stop thinking about it. He would not stop thinking about it until he could come up with a solution to prevent future tragedies. After several days, he realized that there needed to be a solution that would protect both the rider and the driver. A solution that would electronically identify both the rider and the driver, and visually notify the rider that they had the correct rideshare vehicle without ever talking to the driver. And the driver would know before they unlocked the door to allow a stranger in their vehicle that the person at their door, was the right person. With this solution, both the rider and the driver would be tracked throughout their ride, making sure they were on the correct route to their destination to ensure their safety throughout.
Jeffrey joined together with some friends to develop the VeriRideshare patent. His desire and intention are to share that solution with the rideshare industry in a manner that would provide safety for both the rider and the driver, as well as revenue to the rideshare company, whereby a portion of the proceeds would go to the foundation established in Samantha's name - WhatsMyName Foundation - https://www.whatsmyname.org/
